Phase One has announced a 100-megapixel camera sensor for the Phase One XF camera system. This is the first sensor to offer the Full Frame Medium Format CMOS solution, co-developed with Sony. This revolutionary new sensor being used in the Phase One XF 100MP will allow you to capture extensive amount of details in a single shot of 100 megapixels.
Talking about big numbers, the new 10- megapixel features 101,082,464 active high quality pixels. This is the first CMOS sensor to feature true 16-bit color output, delivered directly from the chip. This new sensor by Phase One also features 15 f-stops of dynamic range to retain unmatched details in both highlights and shadows. Using the Phase One XF 100MP, you can shoot in low light conditions without loosing details as it is equipped with ISO ranging from 50 to 12800 and exposure time of up to 60 minutes.
To list some other exciting features, the new 100-megapixel camera sensor by Phase One is loaded with Vibration Tracking, Vibrations Detection, Honeybee Autofocus and Electronic First Curtain Shutter which further reduces vibration. The Phase One XF 100MP supports wide range of Schneider Kreuznach Leaf Shutter lenses that have synchronization speeds of up to 1/1600 second.
