Chhath Puja is a four-day Hindu Vedic festival dedicated to Lord Surya and is celebrated mostly by people from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and the Mithila state of Nepal. The rituals of Chhath Puja are observed over a period of four days during which the devotees practice holy bathing, fasting, standing in water for hours and offer prayers to the setting and rising sun.
This year I went to Yamuna Ghat along with a bunch of my friends to photograph the last day of the Chhath Puja. Here are some of the photos that I clicked during my visit to the Yamuna Ghar to document the auspicious day.
