Light L16 Camera Let’s You Control DoF & Focal Length After Clicking Photos

Just imagine of a DSLR quality camera body with zoom & 3 fast prime lenses that fits right in your pocket, sounds impossible? Light, a camera startup recently announced the world’s first multi-aperture computational camera: Light L16. Is this camera all about its size and weight? Let’s find out.

As the name says, the Light L16 is basically 16 camera coming together in one. These cameras placed across the surface of the L16 can capture up to 10 images and that too at three different focal lengths. After clicking, it combines the images in to a single 52 megapixel image, using the computational algorithm.

To add to the list of the features loaded in the L16, you have the freedom the change or adjust the depth of field all the way to f/1.2 and the focal length even after you have captured the images. The range of focal length varies between 35mm to 150mm in the Light L16 which features 16 cameras in to one.

Loaded with a 5 inch touch screen, the Light L16 enables you to edit the photos within the camera using the on-board editing software. What more, you can directly share your photos directly on your favourite website using the built-in Wi-Fi.

The only reason why i see people would be interested to invest money on this camera is because of its smartphone-sized design and the fact that the Light L16 is loaded with lenses of focal length that range between 35mm to 150mm. If you are a frequent traveller, do consider this camera to loose on those extra kilos of weight in your backpack.
