Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi has announced the Yi M1, a Micro Four thirds mirrorless camera. The Xiaomi Yi M1 is the first mirrorless camera by Xiaomi and it looks exactly like the Leica T.
The Xiaomi Yi M1 features a 20-megapixel micro four-thirds Sony IMX269 sensor and it uses a contrast detection AF system which 81 focus points. The camera can shoot in RAW DNG format and record 4K videos at 30 FPS.
The mirrorless camera by Xiaomi has ISO range of 100-25600 but lacks a built-in flash and an electronic viewfinder. The Yi M1 features a 3-inch LCD touchscreen and it can burst shoot up to 5 FPS.
The M1 also supports Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi, which enables you to connect the camera to your smartphone.
Talking about the price tag, the Xiaomi Yi M1 bundled with 12-40mm f/3.5-5.6 lens will be available for $330, and for $450 with a 42.5mm f/1.8 lens.
As per the news, the camera will only be up for sale in China through the official website JD.com, starting 23rd September. There might be plans of launching the M1 in the international market, but there is no official word about it.
